    • when in an unroadworthy condition or whilst failing to comply with any statutory provision.
  • GT Classic Touring will supply the hire vehicle in a road worthy condition at the commencement of hire. Any change to the condition of the vehicle thereafter becomes the sole responsibility of the hirer.
  • If during the hire period, the hirer has any concerns in respect of the roadworthy condition of the vehicle, it is the hirer’s responsibility to:
    • cease use of the vehicle immediately
    • immediately notify RAC Breakdown Services if appropriate
    • inform GT Classic Touring Limited as to the circumstances and as to the condition of the vehicle.
  • The hirer must warrant that they will use the car in line with terms of the Hire Agreement and return the car to the owner in the same condition as received at the start of the hire.

  • Please Note: Any unnecessary wear and tear as detected by GT Classic Touring Limited subsequent and attributable to the relevant hire period will be charged for. GT Classic Touring will seek financial repayment from the hirer or customer as appropriate.
  • Hire Timings and Duration

  • Vehicles may be hired for any single day, or any combination of days not exceeding 15 days in total.
  • Days start at 9.00am and end at 8.00pm the same day. Any part of the day constitutes as a single day.
  • Vehicles may be hired for multiple days with the same principle applying to the first and last day of hire. For example, for a three day hire, the car will be available any time after 9.00am on the first day and is due for return before 8.00pm on the third day.
  • Late Returns. In the event of a late return, especially where GT Classic Touring has not otherwise been notified, a further one day’s additional hire will be charged. Other circumstances of late return will still attract additional hire charges, but GT Classic Touring will apply common sense alongside commercial reasoning in determining the extent of the charge.
  • Fuel

  • Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of appropriate fuel at the start of the hire period.
  • Should the vehicle be re-fuelled with the incorrect fuel by the hirer, the hirer/customer will be financially responsible for the corrective work as found necessary, together with financial reparation for loss of earnings in connection with hired vehicle to the value of the Cautionary Deposit.
  • The same applies to damage caused by allowing the hire vehicle to run out of petrol.
  • It is the hirer’s responsibility to return the car to GT Classic Touring at the end of the hire period with a full tank of fuel. Failure to comply will result in a £50 levy against the Cautionary Deposit.
  • Choice & Availability of Car

  • In the event that the hirers/customers preferred vehicle is unavailable for reasons beyond the control of GT Classic Touring, then the owner will inform the hirer/customer (as appropriate) and either offer an alternative vehicle for the same date or offer alternative dates.
  • Where an acceptable resolution cannot be agreed upon, GT Classic Touring will refund the cost of the hire (as paid to that date) less a £50 administration charge.
  • Gift Vouchers

  • Vouchers purchased through the Owners are valid for 12 months from the date printed on the voucher.
  • The voucher may be transferred to an alternative driver or to an alternative vehicle.
  • Refunds of any amount on unused vouchers cannot be claimed.
  • Excess & Cautionary Deposit

  • The hirer or customer is required to agree to an additional charge of up to 10% of the value of the hire vehicle (but not exceeding £3,000) that may be charged to their Credit or Debit Card should any loss, damage, or legal fines be incurred or imposed.
  • At the time of collecting the vehicle, a £500 Security Deposit is charged to the hirer's/customer's Credit or Debit Card. This is refundable upon return of the vehicle where no immediate damage / wear and tear is visible or detectable at this time.
  • The purpose of the Charge is;
    • to act as a security bond against loss/theft of the vehicle
    • as payments towards any mechanical damage, whatsoever and howsoever caused but excluding reasonable wear and tear, that will not be reclaimable from the owners insurance
    • as an insurance excess against any accidental damage or loss caused to the vehicle by the hirer or a third party whilst the car is the responsibility of the hirer
    • to serve as payment towards any fines or penalties imposed upon GT Classic Touring arising from the use of the car whilst on hire
    • to offset additional charges that the owner has to bear, i.e. fuel reimbursement.
  • Note: Collision Damage Waiver premiums are not available given the uniqueness and age of the owner’s hire vehicles.
  • Booking & Cancellation

  • A 25% non-refundable deposit is taken upon booking.
  • The full balance is required 1 calendar month before the start of the hire. If payment is by cheque or by electronic transfer, all funds must be cleared through the owners account before payment is deemed to have been made.
  • Payment for Gift Vouchers is IN FULL upon placing the request.
  • Should the hirer / customer wish to cancel, a 25% refund will be made to the hirer if cancellation occurs at least 2 weeks before the hire period.
  • Should the hirer / customer cancel within 2 weeks of the hire period, no refund will be made.
  • Any hire arranged less than 1 calendar month before the start of the hire date is payable in full upon making the booking.
  • GT Classic Touring reserves the right to cancel a hire for whatsoever reason. Should this happen, the hirer / customer will receive a full refund (against monies paid to that date) less a £50 administration charge.
  • Liability

  • General liability is limited to refund of the hire charge.
  • Consequential loss liability is covered nor accepted by GT Classic Touring Limited or its Directors.
  • Charges

  • The Hirer shall reimburse to the Owner on demand
    i. Any charges for fuel, damage or other miscellaneous charges shown in this agreement and booking form.
ii. The Owner costs, including reasonable legal fees incurred in collecting payments due from Hirer under this agreement
iii. Any fines, penalties, court costs or other expenses imposed on the owner by law arising from the use of the vehicle whilst on hire.
iv. Any recovery, towing or storage charges if the vehicle is stolen lost or damaged prior to its return by the Hirer or its recovery by the Owner.
  • Acceptance

  • By making a booking whether in writing or by telephone, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions. The Hirer will be required to sign our Standard Rental Agreement before the hire commences. The Hirer agrees to accept the debit to his/her credit card account of the charges incurred under the agreement. All charges are subject to final audit.
